Risk Assessment Child Soldieries:

What I have learned about Child soldiers has brought to my heart much anger for the injustice that is going on in this world. These Children are driven into a nightmare of evil and their incense is lost. They are also required to watch as family members are being raped and killed and they sometimes make them kill their own family members.   An Estimated 250,000 child soldiers are exploited each day in armed conflict around the world. One of the main groups that are responsible for 35,000 children that have been abducted in the past 24 years is called   Lord Resistance Army.  These are a few of the other armies that abduct children and force them into their life style. (DRC) Democratic Republic of the Congo United Self—Defense Groups of Colombia or AUC a government supported militia in Columbia, and in Sir Lanka there is the Tamil Tigers (LTTE).  I know that this is a hard fact to hear, but if God lays this on your heart to pray or to get more involved in bringing justice to this situation, please take action.
Mark 10: 14 Jesus Said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.

Risk Assignment: HIV/AIDS

According to UNICEF, in 2009, about 1,000 babies were infected with HIV every day during pregnancy, birth or breastfeeding. That means thousands of innocent babies are being born with HIV, and the truth is half of those babies will die before the age of 2.
According to Article 6 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, every child has the inherent right to life, and states parties shall ensure to the maximum extent possible the survival and development of the child.  Over the last 25 years, HIV has spread from a few widely scattered locations to become truly global. It has high rates of prevalence in certain countries – particularly those in southern Africa. I will be sharing some stories and facts about this virus that has affected our world so immensely.
